I take issue with the NYT saying they “are believed to have a prenup . . .” Who believes that? The reporter? Some guy at Starbucks? Thank you for your reasoned analysis—and NDA line at the end. LOL.
And it wasn't even a very well-sourced statement. The line linked to a 1997 Times article that just asserted that the Gateses entered into a prenup. (All this said, for reasons set forth in my piece, I'm guessing that they did have a prenup, even if it got superseded/replaced by the separation agreement.)
