I’m going to go all conspiracy here. There is bound to be a Beltway population who participated in his games, some of whom failed to report their winnings. Some of those could also be Trump enemies and some could be Friends of Trump willing to upgrade their membership level to avoid attention. Although the current defendant may not go down, this is a rich vein to mine for kompromat.
