Great interview. What stands out to me the most are two things Brand suggests - 1) Be open to things you are not expecting to do and 2) Put yourself in places for new opportunities. Openness combined with strategic placement can be a powerful combination and one I see time and time again open doors for myself and countless others.
So true! On her first point, it's advice I've followed as well, when I left the practice of law to become a full-time blogger/online writer—a job that didn't exist back when I was in law school. (And like Brand, I have no regrets about the path I've followed.)
