Musk is a notoriously difficult client who doesn't exactly value the legal function—just look at how many GCs he has run through at Tesla, with some of them resigning because he wouldn't heed their counsel, rumor has it—but Spiro is one of the few lawyers he likes and respects.
I think you put your finger on it. If Spiro creates the space for Rossman to do what Rossman knows how to do, he will be making a tremendous contribution to the legal team.
